DAR School’s
86th Dedication Day
activities were held on
Wednesday, October 13th.
This
year’s festivities were even more
special as the NSDAR National School
Tour was present on campus.
Merry Ann Thompson Wright,
President General, NSDAR, and all of
the 11 National Executive Officers
were among the 75 DAR members on the
two national buses.

Bus
tour groups from
Illinois,
Indiana,
Mississippi, and Texas participated in Dedication Day as well.
All total, more than 350
guests were present at KDS on
Wednesday.

The KDS School
Supper on Wednesday was a
spectacular evening of fun and
fellowship with student and faculty
“Celebrity Waiters” assisting and
entertaining guests for tips.
Mrs. Wright emceed this
fundraiser that resulted in more
than $5,000 for repairs to the
entryway of the Seimes-Thomas Building.
The evening also featured
entertainment from the KDS Choral
Ensemble, FFA String Band and High
School Choir.
